Children who attend the center have in common that are vulnerable and at risk for being in the midst of alcoholism, abuse, migration and poverty. Cases:
Paola*, a 16 years old young lady, is the mother of Edison*, every day she leaves her son in FHLV to attend her job as a maid from where she comes back late at night to pick up the child. She receives no help from her family or the child's father, who so far has not recognized him. Now, the teen is looking for a better job because she feels exploited and is considering leaving Edison, who just turned one year old, in a nursery. Children with histories like these ones, and even worse ones, come daily to "Fundación Honrar La Vida", a place where children from the Jaime Roldós neighborhood find a refuge, and the opportunity to look for a better future.
