Barrio Jaime RoldósIn 1987 a group of college students organized at the parish church La Dolorosa, voluntarily entered one of the most impoverished sectors of Quito-Ecuador, to understand firsthand the situation there lived, in order to generate proposals that will help mitigate the impact immeasurable crisis.

After the lived experience they found several problems, including lack of basic services, poor nutrition and poor access to education, with children and young people most vulnerable.

Fundación Honrar La VidaThus was born the "Fundación Honrar La Vida" (FHLV), a nonprofit organization that focuses on child and youth community, setting as a goal, satisfying 70% of the life necessities and development as: health, education, recreation and nutrition.

Once covered these gaps, the Foundation has an impact in reducing juvenile crime rates, caused mainly by unemployment and lack of alternative sites to help develop and raise self-esteem.
